Getting started and Today
How do I log a dose?
Open the Log tab and follow the four steps. Each one shrinks to a one-line summary when you finish it, and the next opens.
- Vial. Tap the vial. With only one vial, this is done for you.
- Amount. Tap a one-tap amount (today’s scheduled dose, your usual dose, or the same as last time), or type your own and tap Next. If the vial has a schedule, a Your schedule row shows today’s status. Tap View schedule to see the calendar, then close it to carry on.
- Location. Tap an area, then the exact point, or tap Skip location.
- Review and save. Check the summary and tap Save dose. Time, syringe and notes are under “Change time, syringe or add a note.”
To redo a step, tap Change on its summary. If you pick a different vial, only the amount starts over. If you switch to another person, the steps start over for them.
Do I need a password?
No. Enter your email and use the sign-in code sent to your inbox. There is no password to remember or reset.
Why did I have to agree to terms before starting?
VialTracker is a record-keeping and calculation tool, not medical advice. Everyone confirms that once, including existing users, before using the app. Your agreement is saved to your account, so agreeing on one device covers all of them. If the terms change in a meaningful way, you will be asked again.
How do I see the quick start again?
Open Settings (the gear at the top right) and tap Replay quick start, or tap Quick start at the bottom of any screen. It’s six short screens. Full guide opens the complete step-by-step guide.
Can I try VialTracker without an account?
Yes. On the sign-in screen, tap Try it first, no account needed. You get the same limits as the free plan, one subject and one vial, and your records stay only on that phone. A yellow bar at the top reminds you, with a Save my data button.
What happens to my trial records when I sign up?
Tap Save my data, enter your email and the code, and everything you logged during the trial moves into your new account and starts syncing. If you sign into an account that already has records, the trial records are added alongside them, so you may see an extra subject you can rename or delete.
What needs an account?
Progress photos, reminders, syncing across devices, and unlocking unlimited use all need a free account. In trial mode, each of these explains that and points you to Save my data.
What are the colored circles next to names?
When you track more than one person, each one gets a circle with their initial (two letters if two names start the same), or their photo if you add one. It shows on their button, in the header, on the Log form and on the Due today and day summaries, so you can tell at a glance whose records you’re on. The Log form also says Logging for and their name, and confirmations say who the dose was logged for, like “Logged 2 mg Retatrutide for Mom.” With just one person and no photo, none of this appears.
How do I add a profile photo or change a name or color?
Tap the pencil next to the person’s button, tap their circle in the header, or open Settings and tap them under People. In Edit person you can change the name, Take photo or Choose photo, remove the photo, and pick a color for the initial circle. Each person has their own photo, so switching people switches the picture everywhere.
Where is a profile photo stored, and who can see it?
It is shrunk to a small square on your phone and stored privately with your other data, so it comes back on your other devices and in your backup. It only ever appears inside VialTracker. Photos are optional, and you can remove one any time from Edit person. Deleting a person or your account deletes their photo.
Can I use a photo without creating an account?
Yes. In trial mode the photo stays on that phone only. If you later tap Save my data and sign in, it moves into your account with everything else.
Why don’t I see all my vials on someone’s profile?
The Vials tab shows only the vials that person can use: vials assigned to them, vials shared with several people, and vials left on All subjects. A small note under the list says how many vials belong only to other people. To use a vial on another profile, switch to the person it belongs to, tap Edit on the vial, and add the second person under Available to. If you add or edit a vial so it is only for someone else, VialTracker tells you which person to switch to.
Where did the tabs go? Where is the Draw calculator?
The bottom bar is Log, Vials, Insights, History. The Draw calculator, for working out a draw before you mix, is now a card at the top of the Vials tab, right under Inventory.
What does the Today dashboard show?
It shows the selected subject's scheduled doses due today, not doses already taken. Tap Due today to see each scheduled vial, time, and completion status.
Can I hide the Today dashboard?
Yes. Tap the dashboard heading to collapse it. Tap again to expand it.
What does Repeat last do?
It copies the selected subject's most recent dose record after confirmation. It is a recording shortcut, not a dosing recommendation. It stays unavailable when that vial is expired, empty, unassigned, or does not have enough remaining volume.
Where is Undo after I save a dose?
For five minutes after a dose is saved, Undo appears beside the most recent record in Today. It restores the vial volume and removes that dose record. After five minutes, edit or delete the record from Log or History instead.
Why did I see “Confirm this record”?
Another record for the same vial was logged very recently. The warning helps prevent accidental duplicates. Cancel to review your records, or confirm only when the second entry is intentional.
Why does the subject heading show fewer vials than I expected?
The heading counts only active vials available to that subject. Empty vials and vials past their use-by date are left out.
Account and syncing
I did not receive my sign-in code.
Check spam and junk folders first. Wait a minute before requesting a new code, then use the newest message rather than an older code.
Can I use VialTracker on more than one device?
Yes. Sign in with the same email. Subjects, vials, unopened inventory, reminders, and dose history sync with that account.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. The phone keeps a working copy so you can continue recording. Changes retry automatically when a connection returns.
What does “Saved on this device. Cloud sync pending.” mean?
Your latest change is safely stored on this device, but cloud sync has not finished. VialTracker will retry when the connection improves, the app reopens, or another change is saved. Until the status returns to Cloud sync healthy, do not clear Safari data or remove the Home Screen app.
How do I get the newest version?
You do not have to do anything. The app opens straight away from the copy saved on your phone and checks for a new version in the background. If one is out and you have not started tapping around, it refreshes itself within a few seconds. If you have, it waits until the next time you switch back to it. It never refreshes while you are typing or have a sheet open, so nothing you are entering gets lost; in that case the new version is there the next time you fully open the app. If it ever looks out of date, close the app completely and open it again.
How do I know which version I have?
Open Settings and scroll to the bottom. The version number, like 2026.09.24.9, changes with every update, so it’s the quickest way to confirm your phone has the latest.
Why am I asked to sign in again?
A normal sign-in should persist. Clearing Safari website data, using private browsing, removing the installed app, or certain device privacy settings can remove the saved session.
Subjects
How do I rename a subject?
Tap the pencil beside the selected subject near the top of Log or History. Existing records stay attached under the new name.
Can I track more than one subject?
Yes. Tap + Subject. The free plan allows one subject, while unlocking removes that limit.
Can I delete a subject?
Yes. The option is at the bottom of History and requires confirmation. Review the warning carefully because that subject's connected history is removed too.
Unopened inventory
What is Inventory for?
Inventory tracks unopened vials before they are mixed. Store the peptide or product, mg per vial, quantity, price, supplier, lot, and optional expiration date.
How do I add unopened inventory?
Tap Inventory at the top of the app, or open Vials and tap the Inventory card. Choose + Add unopened vials, enter the required fields, and tap Save inventory.
How do I begin using an inventory vial?
Tap Activate. The active-vial form opens with its peptide and mg already filled. Add BAC water and the other vial details, then save. Inventory decreases only after the active vial saves successfully.
I activated a vial by mistake. Can I put it back in Inventory?
Yes. Open the vial, tap Edit vial, then Stop using this vial and choose Return to Inventory. The app asks whether the vial is mixed. If it is full and has no recorded doses and you say it’s not mixed, one vial goes back into your unopened stock and the activation count goes down by one. If it’s mixed, or has any doses, it stays as a mixed return under its product in Inventory with its remaining volume and dose history kept, and it doesn’t add to your unopened count. Tap Reactivate on a mixed return to bring it back to your active vials.
Can I keep a list of what to order next?
Yes. Open Inventory and scroll to the bottom. The small Next order card keeps a shopping list with a quantity, a price and a note for each item, and adds up the total. Tap it to open it.
- Add item adds one at a time. The price is the total for that line, so “Kisspeptin-10 5 mg × 2: $48” is two vials for $48 (the list shows $24 each).
- Paste a list reads a list you already have, one item per line, such as “Semax 10 mg × 1: $42”. Quantity, price and a note after it are all optional.
- Copy list puts the list back on your clipboard as text, so you can paste it into a message or an order form.
- Received (tap an item, then Received) opens the Inventory add screen with the product, mg, quantity and price per vial filled in. When you save it there, it comes off the list.
The list syncs with your account like everything else. If you hide prices in Settings, dollar amounts stay out of the card and the copied list.
How do I replace a vial and keep my schedule going?
Open the vial from the Vials tab and tap Replace vial. If you have unopened stock of that product in Inventory, it asks once whether to use one of those, and that takes one from Inventory. If you don’t, it asks nothing more: tap Discard it and add a new vial (or tap Set it aside instead first). The old vial stays on record with its dose history, and the new-vial form opens already filled in with the same product, amounts, water, default dose and note, so the strength is the same and your dose draws the same amount. Check it and tap Add vial. Your schedule carries over exactly as it was, with the same doses and steps and no restart, and its reminder moves to the new vial. If you change the water amount on a schedule written in syringe units, VialTracker warns you that the units no longer match. If you discard a vial without adding a new one yet, the schedule stays active and its reminders keep going. When you have the new vial, open Finished, expired & set aside on the Vials tab, tap the discarded vial, and choose Add new vial and continue schedule.
How do I see how much of each peptide is in a blended dose?
Under each dose from a blend, VialTracker lists how much of each ingredient that dose contains, for example “Ipamorelin 0.4 mg” and “CJC-1295 without DAC 0.4 mg” for a 0.8 mg dose. It splits the dose by each ingredient’s mg in the vial, so the pieces always add up to the dose shown. You’ll see it in the Log tab list, in History, on the vial’s page, and in the review step before you save.
If you entered the vial as separate ingredients, this works on its own. If it’s a blend sold under one name (such as KLOW) with a single total mg, VialTracker can’t know what’s in it. Open the vial, tap Edit vial, and fill in Ingredients in this blend, one per line with its mg, such as “GHK-Cu 50”. Replacing the vial carries the list over to the new one. Past doses update too, since the split is worked out from the list.
Why can I not activate an expired inventory item?
Expired inventory stays visible for record keeping, but activation is blocked. Edit the date if it was entered incorrectly.
How do I change inventory quantity?
Use the minus button to remove one, or tap Edit to change the quantity and other details. The minus button is for corrections or a lost or broken vial, so it does not count as activated. If you type in a quantity that is already partly used, fill in Already activated in Edit so the counts and totals stay accurate.
How do I enter what I paid?
In the inventory form, choose Vial price to enter the cost of one vial, or Kit price to enter what you paid for a kit and how many vials came in it. VialTracker saves the per-vial cost either way and shows it on the item, carries it into the active vial when you tap Activate, and uses it for Spend rate in Insights. Each vial remembers the price you paid for it. If you find a better deal later, enter the new price when you add the next vial (the form shows your last price so you can change it), and your older vials keep what you actually paid. You can also correct a single vial’s price in Edit vial without changing the others.
What does the line under each item mean?
It shows how many vials are left out of the total, how many were activated, and, when a price is saved, the dollar value used and the value still on hand. Example: 8 left of 10, 2 activated, $90.00 used, $360.00 on hand.
What happens when an item runs out?
When you activate the last vial, the item moves to the Used up section at the bottom instead of disappearing, so its activated count and spend stay in your totals. Tap Edit and raise the quantity to restock it. To remove it from your totals entirely, tap Edit, then Delete.
What are the totals at the bottom?
A running summary of unopened vials, activated vials, unopened value, activated value, and the overall total. Used up items are included. Vials without a saved price are counted but left out of the dollar totals, and a note shows how many.
Can I hide prices?
Yes. Open Settings and turn off Show prices. Per-vial prices, used and on hand amounts, dollar totals, and Spend rate and total spent all disappear, while vial counts stay visible. Turn it back on the same way. The setting is remembered on that device only, and prices still show inside Edit so you can change them.
What is a reorder alert?
When an active vial is going to run out within a week, based on your schedule or your recent dosing, and you have no unopened stock or other active vial of that product, an alert appears: for example, “Reorder MOTS-c: runs out in 3 days.” Tap it to open Inventory. It stays quiet if you already have backup stock, and it stays quiet for a vial that doesn’t have enough dosing history yet to estimate.
Why are some products grouped together?
When you have more than one lot of the same product, they combine into one row showing the total quantity, number of lots, and value on hand. Tap the row to expand each lot with its own buttons. The soonest-expiring lot is listed first. Expiration warnings still show on the collapsed row, and low stock is based on the group total. Products group by name, so keep spelling consistent.
Does inventory sync?
Yes. Unopened inventory is included in account syncing. A newly saved item is also retained on the current device while sync is pending.
Active vials
What do the vial graphic and percentage mean?
They reflect the estimated volume remaining based on the vial's starting volume and logged withdrawals. The graphic fills and empties with the percentage.
How are doses remaining estimated?
VialTracker uses the vial's remaining volume and the default or recorded dose size. It is an estimate based on the information entered, not a measurement of the physical vial.
How do I see every dose from one vial?
On the Vials tab, tap the vial. You’ll see how much is left, how many doses came out of it, how much you’ve drawn in total, and every dose with its date, amount, spot, and who it was for. Tap a dose to edit it, or tap Log a dose to record the next one.
Can I edit a vial after saving it?
Yes. On the Vials tab, tap the vial, then tap Edit vial. You can correct components, BAC water, dates, assignments, color, default dose, cost per vial, and notes.
Where did “My usual schedule” go?
It is now called Notes, and anything you wrote there is still in it. Schedules themselves now live in the Schedule section of the vial, which drives the Log form and your reminders.
Can more than one subject use a vial?
Yes. Use Available to when creating or editing the vial. Assign specific subjects or leave it available to everyone.
Can I track a blend?
Yes. Choose + Add another peptide in the vial form. Because the components share one fixed mixture, the Log screen records how much was drawn from that blend.
Where do empty and expired vials go?
They move out of the active list and into the collapsible Finished & expired archive. Their history stays intact.
What are the low-volume and expiration alerts?
The app flags vials that are low, nearly expired, or expired. When a vial has less than 20% left, or reaches its use-by date within a week, its card on the Vials tab gets a colored banner: amber at first, red when it is under 8% or two days from its use-by date. The banner says how many doses are left and whether you have unopened vials in Inventory, another vial already mixed, or need to reorder. Tap it to open Inventory. Inventory can also show low-stock and expiration alerts.
Dose math and records
Why is the dose form hidden?
With two or more vials, the Log screen shows your vial list first to keep the screen short. Tap a vial to open the dose form for it, tap a different vial to switch, or tap the same vial again to close. The form closes after you save. With only one vial, the form opens automatically. Due today items and reminder notifications open the form straight to the right vial.
Why is the dose already filled in?
If the vial has a schedule, the Log form fills in today’s dose from it, in the unit you set it up in. Otherwise it uses the vial’s default dose if you entered one. You can always change it before saving.
Does VialTracker tell me what dose to take?
No. It calculates and records using the numbers you enter. It does not recommend a dose or treatment.
Which syringe and pen types are supported?
The app includes U-100 syringes in multiple sizes, U-40, a tuberculin syringe measured in mL, and a reusable 60-click pen.
Can I switch between mg and mcg?
Yes. Use the mg and mcg toggle. Existing entered values convert when the unit changes, and the same setting follows across relevant screens.
Why do I see “Check your numbers”?
The entered dose would require an unusually large portion of the vial or more than a full syringe. Recheck the vial mg, BAC water, dose, and selected syringe before relying on the result.
Can I correct a logged dose?
Yes. Tap the entry in Log or History. Edit the amount, time, site, or notes, or delete it. Remaining vial volume recalculates.
What does the Draw calculator do?
It works out reconstitution and draw arithmetic from the mg in the vial, the water you add, your dose, and your syringe, without saving anything. Find it at the top of the Vials tab. It does not recommend a dose.
Peptide KB
What is included in the Peptide KB?
Each entry separates what the compound is, what people claim or study it for, what evidence supports, what remains unknown, known concerns, regulatory status, and source links.
How do favorites and recently viewed work?
Save an entry with the star button, then use the Favorites filter. Recently opened compounds appear under Recently viewed for quick return.
Can I compare two compounds?
Yes. Add up to two entries to Compare, then open the side-by-side view for purpose, evidence, concerns, and regulatory status.
Can I share a KB entry by text?
Yes. Open the entry, tap Share card, then use the share icon. On iPhone, choose Messages from the share sheet. Copy Summary is available as a fallback.
What is the Injection sites section?
It is a general visual guide to common subcutaneous sites and rotation. It applies only when the exact medication is intended for subcutaneous use. It does not apply to intramuscular, intravenous, intradermal, topical, oral, or unknown routes.
Why is there a colored information icon beside some vial names?
On large vial cards, the icon opens the matching KB entry and uses that vial's color. Small names in dashboards and history are intentionally left uncluttered.
Is the KB medical advice?
No. It is educational reference material. Claims, evidence, risks, approvals, product identity, and quality can differ substantially.
Schedules, reminders, history, and export
How do I set up a schedule?
Open the vial from the Vials tab, tap Edit, then Set up schedule. Pick a start date, which days (Daily, Set days, On / off, or Every X days), and the dose in units or mg. For a simple schedule, that is all you need. The schedule belongs to the product, not the vial, so it keeps going when you mix a new vial of the same product. Schedule doses are in mg (or syringe units for blends), while a vial’s default dose is in mcg. A new schedule starts with the vial’s default dose already converted, so 250 mcg shows as 0.25 mg, and the line under the dose shows the conversion as you type. If a dose is more than the whole vial holds, the app won’t save it and suggests what you probably meant.
If your plan changes how often you dose as it goes (for example 3x a week, then 5x a week, then daily), turn on Change the dose over time and use Days for step under each step to give that step its own days. A step left on “Same as the days above” follows the schedule’s days. How do I skip a dose, or pause for a few days?
Open Due today and tap Skip this dose under the dose. It asks how long: just this dose, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, or until a date you pick. A line underneath tells you exactly what it will do, such as “Skips Oct 27 to Nov 2 (7 scheduled doses). Your next dose is Tue, Nov 3.”
For a longer skip on a schedule with steps or an end date, it also asks what should happen to the schedule:
- Keep my dates. Later steps stay on their original dates, and the skipped doses are just missed. Use this for a missed dose or two.
- Pause and pick up after. The schedule waits, so every later step moves back by the number of days you skipped, and you carry on where you left off. Use this when you’re stopping for real, such as being sick or traveling.
Reminders stay quiet for the skipped days and start again on their own the day it ends. The dose stays on Due today as Skipped so you can see what happened, and Undo skip (or Resume now for a longer one) puts it back. The schedule calendar marks skipped days and has a Resume now button too. Skipped doses aren’t counted as missed.
Can the dose change over time?
Yes. Turn on Change the dose over time and add steps, each with a dose and a length. To build a ramp quickly, use Step up automatically: enter where to start, how much to go up, how often, where to stop, and how long to stay there, then tap Build. The Log form uses whichever step you are on that day.
How do breaks work?
Turn on Take breaks, enter the break length, and choose whether to start again or stop afterward. When it starts again, you can pick which step to restart at, for example going straight to a maintenance dose. During a break the vial card shows when it ends, and End break now starts the next cycle early.
How do I see my schedule on a calendar?
Open the vial, tap Edit, then View calendar. Dose days are green with the dose on them, logged days get a check mark, missed days get a red dot, breaks are striped, and an arrow marks days the dose steps up. Swipe to change months and tap any day for details.
Why did it suggest a different start date?
When you set up a new schedule for something you’ve already been logging, VialTracker offers to start it on the first day of your current run of doses, so weeks, steps and breaks line up with what you actually did. Tap the suggested date to use it or Keep today to ignore it.
Do I need reminders for Due today to work?
No. Any schedule, with or without Remind me, shows its dose days in Due today, the Today count, the History calendar, and the Scheduled doses logged number. Reminders only control notifications.
How do reminders work?
Turn on Remind me in the schedule and pick a time and an optional follow-up if you miss it. Reminders only go off on schedule days and never during breaks. Each reminder names the vial, and tapping it opens the log for that vial with your planned dose filled in. If you set a follow-up and that dose still isn’t logged, you get one more nudge. To check that this phone gets them, open Settings and tap Send a test notification. When a vial runs out, the reminder moves to your next vial of the same product. Older reminders set up before schedules keep working until you save a schedule for that vial, which replaces them.
Why can I not get reminders for my On / off pattern?
Reminders can only follow On / off patterns that add up to seven days, such as 5 on and 2 off, because they repeat by day of the week. For other patterns, the schedule still works in the app, but reminders are turned off.
What does “done today ✓” mean?
Once you log a dose of that product today, from any vial, the schedule line on the vial card and Log screen shows it is done. If you log on a day that is not a schedule day, it says so instead.
Why can I not enable notifications?
Add VialTracker to the phone's home screen first, open the installed version, and allow notifications when prompted. Browser support and device settings still apply. If Settings says this phone isn’t set up to get reminders, tap Fix.
What does the History calendar show?
Calendar view combines scheduled, completed, and missed dose records with vial use-by dates. List view remains available for detailed searching and editing.
How far back can I review history?
Use the 14, 30, 90, or 365-day range. Tap a chart bar to inspect that period and use Search notes to find a product, injection site, or note.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Tap Data safety on the Today card, or Backup, restore & export in Settings, then Export dose CSV, Export check-ins CSV or Export lab results CSV to download a spreadsheet-compatible copy of your dose records. For everything, including vials and inventory, use Download backup on the same screen.
Insights, weight, labs, photos, and data safety
Where is Insights?
It’s its own tab in the bottom bar. The first button is Add today’s check-in, followed by a row of jump buttons, then scheduled doses logged, site rotation, protein today and next to run out. Below those are weight, protein intake, the calendar, side effects, the estimated active level chart, lab results, progress photos and spend rate. Data safety and change history are at the bottom.
What are the buttons at the top of Insights?
Tap Doses, Weight, Protein, Calendar, Labs, Photos or Data to jump straight to that section instead of scrolling. The row slides sideways if it doesn’t all fit.
Where is the calendar in Insights?
It’s its own Calendar card below Protein intake. Days with doses show the usual dots, and days with protein logged get an amber dot. Tap any day to open a summary of that day’s doses and protein, then tap See dose details or See & edit protein entries to go deeper. You can add or change protein for any past day from there. The same calendar is on the History tab.
What does Scheduled doses logged mean?
It is the share of your scheduled doses that you logged over the last seven full days, not counting today. That way a dose that is still due this evening never lowers the number. A small strip under the bar shows each of those seven days, oldest to yesterday: filled means everything scheduled was logged, half-filled means some, an outline means none, and grey means nothing was scheduled. Today has its own line, like “Today: 1 of 2 logged,” and joins the seven-day number tomorrow. A dose logged without a matching schedule still belongs in History, but it does not affect this number. If nothing was scheduled in that window, it shows N/A.
What does Site rotation count?
It counts distinct injection locations recorded for the selected subject during the last seven days. The front-and-back body map (an anatomical muscle figure with a marker on each injection area) colors sites by recency and identifies the least recently recorded location. The location buttons in the log form show the same thing at a glance: when each spot was last recorded for that person across every product (red for today or yesterday, amber for 2 to 4 days ago, green for spots not logged yet, or the one used longest ago once every spot has been used) and what was logged there that day, plus where the product you are logging went last. It records location history, not where someone should inject. On the Insights card, all 8 spots are shown in a left and right grid, colored like the log’s location buttons: red for today or yesterday, amber for 2 to 4 days ago, green for spots not logged yet or the one used longest ago.
Can I only see the spots I use for one product?
Yes. When you log a dose, tap Use only certain spots for [product]? Pick them, tap the spots you use, and tap Save. From then on, only those spots show when you log that product, and the one you used longest ago turns green. Tap Show all any time you need a different spot, or Change to edit your list. Each person on your account has their own list, and it syncs to your other devices. This only changes what the log shows you. Your product’s instructions or your clinician decide where to inject.
What does Next to run out show?
It lists each active vial for the selected person, soonest to run out first, and shows how many doses are left in each one. Underneath is about when it runs out. If you have an active schedule for that product, the timing follows your schedule, including any breaks. Without one, it uses how far apart your recent doses really are. A vial you only just mixed may not have enough doses logged to tell yet, so it says Pace not clear yet instead of guessing. If the use-by date comes before the vial would empty, the row says so. Vials with no recent doses show Idle and are listed last. Anything 7 days or less shows in red. It is an estimate from your entered records, not a physical measurement.
How is Spend rate calculated?
It looks at the selected person’s recorded use over the last 30 days, but only for products you have an active vial of right now, priced at what you paid for those active vials, and shows the pace per day, month and year. Under that, a table lists each product’s cost per day and its total spent, which adds up what you paid for every vial you mixed (active, finished and discarded). If a price changes later, older vials keep the price you paid for them. Vials you put back into unopened stock aren’t counted, and neither are other people’s vials. A product with no price saved is listed so you can add one on the vial or its inventory item. It reflects your entered records only. To hide it, turn off Show prices in Settings.
What is the Estimated active level chart?
It estimates how much of each compound is still active over time, using standard half-life decay applied to the doses you actually logged. It only appears for compounds with published human pharmacokinetic data; tap How this works to see each one’s half-life and source. Blends are split into their components by mg ratio. Compounds in your active vials without verified human half-life data, such as GHK-Cu or BPC-157, are counted under the chart (tap that line to list them) instead of being drawn from an estimate. Each line is scaled to its own peak so different compounds can share one chart. Use the 7D, 14D, and 30D toggle to change the window, and tap a compound below the chart to hide or show its line. It is a model estimate, not a measured blood level, and not a dosing recommendation.
How do I log side effects?
Tap Insights at the bottom, then Add today’s check-in, and tap any side effect that applies. Tap once for mild, again for moderate, again for severe, and once more to clear it. Use Notes for anything not on the list. If you mark something severe, the app reminds you to contact your healthcare provider, or 911 in an emergency.
What does the Side effects card show?
Once you log any, Insights shows each side effect from the last 14 days, how often it came up, and its highest severity. It also lists the products you logged in the 48 hours before each one. That shows timing only, not cause, but it can make patterns easier to notice and discuss with your clinician.
Where can I see saved check-ins?
Tap Insights at the bottom, then Add today’s check-in. Your recent check-ins are listed under the form. Tap View all or Add today's check-in to review the recent list and record side effects, weight, energy, mood, appetite, or an observation.
What is included in a complete backup?
The backup includes subjects, active vials, unopened inventory, dose history, schedules, reminders, check-ins, weights, lab results, photo captions, KB favorites, recently viewed KB entries, and change history. Restore validates the file, downloads a safety copy, asks for confirmation, and replaces both the device and cloud copies.
What is the clinician report?
An in-app printable summary of the selected subject’s active vials, current schedules, recent doses and sites, weight trend, lab results, side effects from the last 30 days, and scheduled doses logged over the last seven full days. It opens inside VialTracker. Use Print or save PDF to share it, or Close to go back.
What does Review change history show?
It shows recent saves, edits, deletions, backups, restores, reports, and check-ins so important record changes are easier to trace.
How do I track my weight?
Enter it in the daily check-in, or tap Add past weight on the Weight card to log a reading from an earlier date. The card shows your latest weight, the change over the range you pick (30 days, 90 days, 1 year or all), and a chart. Tap See & edit entries to delete mistakes. Switch between lb and kg in Settings.
How do I track water?
Once you’ve set a daily water goal, a water drop chip (like “💧 25%”) shows your progress in the top banner on every screen, and a steak chip shows your protein goal the same way. Tap the water chip to add 8, 16 or 32 oz (or 250, 500 or 1,000 mL) from anywhere in the app, or use the +8 oz and +16 oz buttons on the Water today card in Insights. Each add shows an Undo in case you tap by mistake. The glass fills toward your goal. Tap View today’s log to see each entry with the time you logged it (and remove one you logged by mistake), set your own daily goal (it saves as soon as you leave the box), add a different amount, fix today’s total, see the last 7 days, or switch to mL. Each person on your account has their own water, and it syncs to your other devices.
How do I add lab results?
On the Lab results card, tap + Add result. Pick the test and date, then enter the result and unit from your lab report. You can also enter the reference range from the report. Results outside the range you entered are marked high or low. Tap See all for each test’s full history.
Why doesn’t VialTracker fill in normal ranges?
Reference ranges differ between labs and depend on your situation, so the app only uses the range printed on your own report. Tap the ⓘ next to a test to read what it measures. That’s general education, not an interpretation of your number.
How do progress photos work?
On the Progress photos card, tap + Add photo to take one or choose from your library. Tap a photo to view it, change the date it was taken, add a caption, save it or delete it. When a photo from your library still has the date your camera saved, that date is filled in for you; otherwise it uses the day you added it, and you can change it. Photos are sorted by the date taken. Tap two photos to compare them side by side with the number of days between them.
Who can see my photos?
Only you. They’re stored in a private area that only your account can open, and they load through links that expire after an hour. Deleting your account deletes every photo.
Can I download my photos?
Yes. Open a photo and tap Save to put it in your Photos app, or tap Download all for a ZIP of every photo, named by date and caption, with a list of captions. Photos aren’t inside the backup file, because they’d make it too large, but they stay safe in your account.
What if I add a photo without a signal?
It’s saved on your phone with a Waiting to upload tag and uploads automatically when your connection comes back. You can still caption, compare and delete it in the meantime.
Is there a photo limit?
Yes, 200 photos per account for everyone, to keep storage manageable. Delete older ones to make room.
Settings and security
Where are settings?
Tap the gear at the top right of the header, or Settings at the bottom of any screen. You’ll find your account and plan, appearance, weight and dose units, Show prices, your default syringe, notification status, data tools, help and support, and account deletion.
How do I turn on dark mode?
In Settings, set Appearance to Dark, Light, or Auto. Auto follows your phone’s setting and switches with it.
How do I lock the app?
In Settings, turn on App lock and choose a 4-digit passcode. Choose whether it locks right away, after 1 minute or after 5 minutes away. On supported phones, turn on Unlock with Face ID too. The passcode is stored only on that phone, in scrambled form, and is never sent anywhere.
What if I get the passcode wrong or forget it?
After 5 wrong tries you wait 30 seconds, and the wait doubles each time after that, up to 15 minutes. If you forget it, tap Forgot passcode?. With an account, that signs you out and removes the lock, and your records come back when you sign in. In trial mode it erases the trial records on that phone, because they aren’t backed up.
Why does Settings say notifications are blocked?
Your phone is blocking them for VialTracker. Open your iPhone Settings, then Notifications, then VialTracker, and allow them. If Settings says to add VialTracker to your Home Screen first, do that from Safari’s Share menu.
How do I contact support?
Open Settings and tap Contact support, or email support@vialcarton.com. Including your version number from the bottom of Settings helps.
Privacy and plans
What is included free?
The free plan supports one subject and one active vial. Unlocking removes those limits for a one-time payment of $12.99. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. Every feature is included in the free plan, and future updates are free for everyone who has unlocked.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Open Settings and tap Delete account under Danger zone, then type DELETE to confirm. It permanently removes connected subjects, vials, inventory, reminders, and dose records.
Who can see my data?
Your records are associated with your signed-in account. Use a secure email account, protect access to your phone, and export anything you want to retain before deleting an account.
Does VialTracker collect crash information?
Only when something breaks. The app sends the error message, app version, which screen you were on and your device type so bugs can be fixed. It never includes your records, notes or photos.
Where are the complete terms?
